How to Make Chicken Stock? 🐓 | Chicken Yakhni Recipe
Hello beautiful people, today we are going to share with you the recipe for chicken stock or yakhni. We make this stock and freeze it in our freezer at home so that we do not have to use store bought stock in our recipes anymore. So let's get started.
Ingredients for the recipe

- 250g chicken
- 1 medium sized onion chopped
- 5 cloves garlic
- 1 inch ginger piece
- 1/4 cup fresh coriander chopped
- 5 green chillies
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander seeds
- 1 tsp fennel seeds
- 3 green cardamoms
- 1/2 tsp black peppercorns
- 5 cloves
- 1 black cardamom
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 star anise
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 4 cups water
Cooking method for the recipe
Combine all the ingredients in a pot including chicken, chopped onion, garlic cloves, ginger, chopped fresh coriander, green chillies, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, fennel seeds, green cardamoms, black peppercorns, cloves, black cardamom, cinnamon stick, star anise, salt, turmeric, ground black pepper and water.

Bring the contents of the pot to a boil on medium-high heat.

When the contents of the pot come to a boil, reduce the heat to low.

Cover the pot and let the stock simmer for 45 minutes on low heat.

After 45 minutes, the chicken stock is ready.

Let the chicken stock cool down completely.

Once the stock cools down completely, strain the stock. Use this stock right away or store it in clean air tight bottles/ jars.This chicken stock can be stored in the fridge for upto 3 days. It can also be stored in the freezer for upto 6 months.
