Delicious Tangy Tomato Pasta
Few days ago, we made tangy tomato pasta at home. The recipe turned out to be so yummy that everybody liked it including the kids and the adults. So we thought why not share the recipe with you on our website. This is a quick and simple recipe. So let's get started.
Ingredients
- 400 g elbow noodles
- Water to boil the pasta, as needed
- 4 large tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup + 4 tbsp
- 1 + 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp hot sauce
- 1 tbsp soya sauce
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1/2 cup chicken stock
- 1/4 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp dried thyme
- 1/4 tsp dried rosemary
- Juice of 1 lemon 🍋
Cooking Method
Take a large cooking pot. Add water to boil the pasta as needed. Add 1/2 tsp of salt and 4 tbsp of cooking oil. Bring the water to a boil on medium heat.
Once the water starts boiling, add pasta. Cook the pasta for 5-7 minutes or until al dente. Then remove the pasta from the heat and drain water. Run under tap water to stop the cooking process.
Take 1/4 cup of cooking oil in a cooking pot. Add chopped onions. Sauté the onions on medium heat until translucent.
Once the onions become translucent, add chopped tomatoes. Stir for one minute then add 1/2 cup of water and Mix. Put the lid on and let the tomatoes cook for 3-4 minutes.
Once the tomatoes are completely cooked, add tomato paste, salt, black pepper, hot sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, coriander powder, oregano, thyme, rosemary. Mix well. You can find the recipe for tomato paste here.
After mixing all the ingredients well, add boiled pasta and mix. Now add chicken stock and lemon juice. You can find the recipe for the chicken stock here. Put the lid on and reduce the heat to low. Cook pasta for another 5-7 minutes. Now the pasta is ready to serve. Dish out and enjoy!
